PGA Tournament at Torrey Pines to Feature Local Brandt Beef’s Premium, Award-Winning Burgers for Golfers and Fans

Brandt Beef, a local single family owned producer of premium beef, will be serving up more than 7,000 of its all-natural burgers during the PGA TOUR’s Farmers Insurance Open at the Torrey Pines Golf Course. To match the level of competition, breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and the pristine landscape of surrounding La Jolla, The Lodge at Torrey Pines’ Chef Jeff Jackson personally selected Brandt Beef’s award-winning burger as the tournament’s featured concession item.

“This is the most anticipated weekend of the year at Torrey Pines so we strive to make sure all amenities are nothing but top-notch for the golfers and most importantly, the fans,” says Jackson. “That’s why this year I selected Brandt Beef over other local beef providers because of Brandt’s dedication to quality and only using a single-source, whole-muscle blend in their ground beef. This exclusive agreement with Brandt Beef will certainly top off a memorable weekend at the PGA tournament.”

The Brandt Beef Burger received the Master Chefs’ Institute Seal of Excellence for consistently achieving first place rankings in the all-important categories of taste, texture and tenderness. To date, Brandt Beef is the only beef producer to receive the Seal of Excellence. In addition to The Lodge at Torrey Pines during the Farmers Insurance Open, local restaurants that serve Brandt Beef’s proprietary whole-muscle burger include Starlite, Barona Casino, Whisknladle, Stingaree and Zel’s Del Mar.
