Brandt Beef to Sponsor The Art of Food & Wine Palm Desert

Premier event will showcase acclaimed natural beef producer’s sustainable products

BRAWLEY, Calif. – Brandt Beef – The True Natural, a single family owned, premium natural beef producer, announced today its sponsorship and participation at The Art of Food & Wine Palm Desert, a four-day celebration of the finest food, wine and art. The event will be held from Thursday, November 6 to Sunday, November 9 at various locations throughout Palm Desert, Calif.

The event will begin on Thursday, November 6 from 7 – 10 p.m. at the Desert Willow Golf Resort. The evening’s festivities will center on the Opening Night “Food Flight!”, a competition in which local chefs and bartenders will square off for the title of “Food Flight! Favorite.” Guests will sample the food and spirits to vote on the winners. Brandt Beef will sponsor the beef category of the competition, where chefs will vie for the best beef dish. Russ Olden, owner and executive chef of Olden Days Catering and Jamie Alejandro, executive chef of the Desert Willow Golf Resort will prepare dishes using Brandt Beef tenderloins. The evening will also include live music, art and celebrity chef appearances.

On Friday, November 7, guests will gather at the Desert Willow Golf Resort for a golf tournament and tasting event around the course. Brandt Beef will sponsor the second hole, and will serve guests Brandt Beef sliders and Barbeque Brandt Beef tacos. The event will be held from 7:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. and will also include breakfast, an awards ceremony and a player’s reception.

The celebration continues Saturday, November 8 and Sunday, November 9 with a Grand Tasting at the Desert Springs JW Marriott Resort & Spa. Guests will sample delicious foods prepared by local chefs, as well as wines and spirits from around the world. Brandt Beef’s executive chef Tom McAliney will prepare tasting portions of Brandt Beef dry-rubbed barbeque brisket. Additionally, executive chef Leanne Kamekona of Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa will prepare her dish of New Mexico red chile and date crusted Brandt Beef filet mignon, for which she was awarded First Place Entrée and People’s Choice Award at the California Date Chef Competition last year. The event will also include celebrity chef demonstrations, book signings, wine and lifestyle seminars, art exhibits, shopping and live music.
